Appreciation - Day 4 - Freedom
As you can read here during the month of August, I’m focusing on appreciation and using notes that I wrote down last month as my guide.
A month ago I was celebrating July 4th… so it was easy enough to focus on freedom for my 4th day of appreciation. I am so grateful for all the men and women who serve in the military and help protect the USA and our freedom.

I recently saw this photo on facebook… I can’t find the original source… but along with the image it said this is a new father (that has been deployed) trying to say goodbye to his newborn daughter. It brings tears to my eyes. I can’t imagine the heartbreak this father feels or how his wife feels that her husband is leaving at this amazing/ special time in their lives.
I appreciate his willingness to serve our country and her (his wife) unselfishness to support his decisions to serve. I pray for this family and military families all over the world that are separated in the name of keeping us safe and allowing us to enjoy living in a free country. I pray these families find comfort when they are away from each other and that they can be reunited.
God Bless,
k
