Appreciation Day 2 - Beach Vacation
As you can read here during the month of August, I’m focusing on appreciation for the month of August.
This one might seem a little weird b/c I’m not at the beach now… but as I said b/c I’m using the list I made last month to guide me each day… and last month I was at the beach.
So, Day 2 I’m appreciating the beach and the fact that we live close and we are financially stable to vacation at the beach a couple times a year. AND that my boys love it too.

If you know me very well at all, you know that I’m a beach person. I love going to the beach and I appreciate the fact that we live within a reasonable drive to some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States. My favorite beach area is 30A, (it’s the hwy that stretches between Destin and Panama City… Seaside, Rosemary, Grayton Beach). I grew up in south AL and truthfully I never realized how special FL pan-handle really is… and when I say special I’m talking about the natural beauty not the quirky locals. :) After visiting the cost in CA, MA, NC and SC and seeing some photos from TX… I have to say I still favor the sugary white sand of FL.
Every time I visit the beach I feel a renewed energy. (not trying to go too new age on you… but…) There’s just something about the smell of the salt air, the constant rhythm of the waves crashing on the shore, the physical pull of the water against my body, the unobscured view of the horizon, the colors: white sand, blue and green water, blue to pink sky… let’s just say I think that it’s some of God’s best work…. and whenever I get a chance I like to sit on a piece of the earth where the ocean meets the land.
